MarTech and Loyalty Coordinator

This position supplements our digital team, offering support for our MarTech and Loyalty marketing activities with a priority on email communication and digital assets. Working in conjunction with a content development team and the digital marketing manager, this position will be responsible for the end-to-end process of email campaigns, from strategy, planning, scheduling, proofing, segmenting and reporting success or opportunities based on established internal and industry benchmarks. This role also supports the coordination of digital assets across owned websites for London Drugs and LDExtras.
The successful candidate should possess the following:
- Minimum 3 years’ of email marketing and campaign management, or similar retail experience.
- Experience working with a retailer or client with a minimum email database of 50,000 opt-in users.
- Familiarity with industry standard best practices, including CASL and GDPR
- Experience with best practices for the migration and uploading of personality identifiable information(PII), through first party data.
- Experience working with CRM and marketing platforms as it pertains to email marketing solutions
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills (Excel, Word).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver within tight deadlines.
- Experience with Workfront and Listrak considered an asset
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Responsible for coordinating weekly newsletters, including tactical category specific executions, and coordinating resources between team members and external agencies.
- Responsible for email marketing – briefing, strategy development, execution, optimization and post campaign reporting.
- Industry best practices of migration of personally identifiable information (PII) and uploading of data through 1st party databases.
- Performance Analytics of email performance and weekly reporting.
- Support the Marketing and Merchandising teams by creating briefs based on business and campaign.
- Advance features and capabilities within current email technology vendors.
- Assist with the adoption of new email technologies and supporting the evaluation of alternative email vendors or solutions as required.
- Manage end-to-end email marketing campaigns from the briefing stage, through planning, targeting (including segmenting), set-up, testing (including A/B), proofing, execution, optimization and post campaign reporting.
- Execution of the email strategy to further advance email automation, triggers, and strategic messaging throughout multiple touch points in the customer journey.
- Supporting other areas of the digital marketing department, including social, paid, and monitoring as required.
- Responsible for coordinating weekly digital assets, including banners, and coordinating scheduling across owned websites between team members.
