Merchandising Coordinator, Retail Space Planning (Interim)
This is a 6 month Full-Time contract position.
The Merchandising Coordinator, Retail Space Planning plays an integral part of the Merchandising Team. This is a key position within the Merchandising Department and provides great opportunities for the successful candidate to learn the inner workings of the entire purchasing cycle from purchasing, merchandising and sales.

The Merchandising Coordinator provides support and works closely with the Buyers, Merchandise Managers, Business Units and our Vendors Partners. Key tasks of this position include co-ordinating, maintaining and publishing planograms, floor plans, Paid Ends and Promo for each applicable merchandised store section and any applicable retail display space.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Strong computer literacy including solid knowledge of the AS/400, RSA, Phoenix and MS Office suite of products with emphasis on Outlook and Excel.
In depth knowledge of London Drug’s store procedures and Merchandising Standards which support all of these applications would be considered an asset.
What YOUR day will look like:
- Set-up and maintain product images and dimensions for planograms
- Coordination of monthly Paid Ends and Promo worksheets with Business Units
- Liaise with Business Units in the planning, execution, revision and follow up to planograms
- Responding to Vendor correspondence
- Responding &/ researching Store questions / problems
- Running reports for buyers / Merchandise managers
- Set-up and maintenance of Merchandising Distributions for Paid Ends and Promo stock and displayers
- Reviewing and update floor plans
- You have experience in a Merchandising or Retail Store environment
- You strive in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment
- You are a problem solver with the ability to see the big picture
- You are very comfortable working with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- You communicate effectively and build strong relationships with internal and external partners
- You are professional and work well in a team environment
- You demonstrate a high level of integrity and pride in the work you do each day
- You are dependable, positive and work well with little supervision
- You are interested in continually learning and growing your skills with changing technology and processes
