Our Marketing Department located at our head office in Richmond, BC currently has opportunities for:

Graphic Artist

The Graphic Artist is responsible for actively contributing to the Marketing department deliverables including creating Marketing print and digital collateral.  

The successful candidate should possess the following:
  • Minimum 2 year post-secondary education in a related field such as an accredited Marketing Program, Desktop Publishing Program, Graphic Art Program or equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • Must have a current portfolio of both written and design materials.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in related graphic arts and web production
  • A strong working knowledge and proficiency of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, AfterEffects and Acrobat), typographic and page layout procedures as well as proficiency in animation, creating fillable PDFs HTML editing, webpage creation, and animation and HTML editing.
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced retail environment with many cross functional teams and business partners.
  • Highly organized and able to multitask effectively and work under changing priorities. 
  • Ability to operate in a MS Windows and Office environment including ability to use spreadsheets, word processing, email, internet and social media.  
  • Ability to understand proprietary software applications.
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Work with Marketing Services Manager, Marketing Coordinators and Web Developer to implement visual concepts.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of all ads, information and photographs in print and on the web.
  • Proofreading.
  • Meet production deadlines.
  • Maintain high quality and accuracy level in all work.
  • Liaise with/update team on status of assigned jobs.
  • Keep abreast of current industry technology and trends. 
  • Any other publishing assignments as assigned.
  • Assist with building ads using current Marketing Department software provided. This includes layout, design, copywriting, typesetting, placing logos, placing graphics, placing images and any other aspect required to complete the advertisement.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all projects, products and any other information within the Marketing Department. 
  • Maintain Marketing Department philosophy of consistently improving procedures and systems.

Compensation: $40,331.20 - $56,284.80 per year
