- Completion of a bachelor level degree program in Engineering, Science or Applied Science (Computing) or an equivalent combination of skills and experience.
- Completion of an MBA or PHD focused on Information Technology or Software Engineering an advantage.
- 5 years’ experience in a Software Architect position preferred.
- Must have demonstrated software architectural leadership and organizational abilities.
- Previous experience in the retail industry is a definite asset.
- Demonstrable experience with Microsoft Technologies: SQL Server (complex SQL queries, extracting and importing disparate data from source systems, data manipulation, SQL programming, & security), Visual Studio, Azure, VB.net, C#, & DevOps, O365 and D365.
- Working knowledge of Power BI, SSRS Reporting, Python, HTML, XML, Json, & Data Analytics
- Develops and maintains the overarching Software Architecture and Vision for development and support of applications and data integrations. Contributes to a library of artifacts around architecture that include roadmaps, diagrams, standards, data models and reference material.
- Provides standards, architectural guidance, and project oversight with a view towards overall cohesion of systems. This includes but is not limited to test cases, reference architectures, and standard integration patterns.
- Provides strategic recommendations to maximize the value of information assets via their creation, access, and use.
- Plans information architecture by studying the site concept, strategy, and target audience; envisioning architectural scheme, information structure and features, functionality, and user-interface design; creating user scenarios; preparing data models; designing information structure, work-and dataflow, and navigation; evaluating information representation; conducting creative meetings.
- Participates in vendor, framework, and tool selection based on business, architectural and technology needs.
- Enforces standards around development including Security, Frameworks, Coding Standards, and System Integration, and Testing.
- Collaborates with other Architects on overall Enterprise Architecture. Provides the development, data, and integration perspective
- Advises the IT Leadership team as well as the LD Executive on technical matters.
