IT Cybersecurity Officer
The responsibilities of this position are as follows:
• Develops and recommends annual resource plan that supports the Corporate Security programs.
• Conducts security risk assessment investigations.
• Conducts security violations investigations.
• Coordinates corporate efforts to find solutions to specific data security problems across all lines of business.
• Provides functional guidance to primary users, secondary users, and custodians on data security, integrity, and privacy.
• Develops and maintains Security policies, procedures and standards with consideration for industry standards such as PCI and PIPEDA.
• Monitors and reports to management on the performance of the corporate data security program.
• Plans, organizes, and controls assigned projects to accomplish a successful and timely completion.
• Performs routine maintenance on software installed and coordinate any change which may be impacted by new maintenance.
• Supports “critical maintenance” activities as required to support the Security Program.
• Supports and carries out Security Awareness Training VIA Corporate and DP Training areas.
• Responsible for Data Classification process.
• Responsible for Data Security Program.
The successful candidate should have a minimum of three years Senior System Analyst experience in application development including data base environment, knowledge of designing application security controls, Data Management and Data Analysis.
In addition, general knowledge of the hardware and software configuration installed, various lines of business, imported applications and security controls are required, including;
a) Comprehensive knowledge of management skills, business writings skills and system analysis skills, ability to evaluate and resolve all security problems and issues.
b) Thorough knowledge of the various Data Security access control software controls installed, of Corporate Policies and plans, DP Standards, DP Development Methodology, Library Change Control and Data Management.
