Our Marketing Department located at our head office in Richmond, BC currently has an opportunity for:

Assistant Marketing Services Manager
 
The Assistant Marketing Services Manager will be responsible for overseeing the Photo Studio and Editing teams’ daily operation and output. In addition, this role will require daily interaction with the design team and business units to ensuring efficient flyer production and timely deliverables on all projects. The Assistant Marketing Services Manager will also be responsible for Workfront reporting and supporting senior leadership in executing on strategies.
 
Roles and Responsibilities: 
  • Support a team of designers and production artists in the production of a weekly ad program that includes flyers, instore signage and digital assets.
  • Oversee the Photo Services and Imaging teams who are responsible for corporate initiatives & events, marketing and product photography/editing. 
  • Execute on the vision and strategy of the Marketing Services Manager by cascading the information and measuring adherence to the vision/strategy.
  • Manage in day-to-day flyer output, team efficiency and workflow.
  • Support in sourcing vendors and negotiate savings on print production, distribution and other services. 
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to help establish new processes and reengineer business functions improving productivity for print and digital production team, photo services team.
  • Review and revise advertising production process as needed.
  • Establish strong, collaborative business partner relationships to maximize returns and identify more efficient ways of working.
  • Monitor, adjust and delegate workflow for total production team (Studio/Graphic Artists/Image Processing)
  • Supervise flyer production schedule which may include creating a proofing cadence, coordinating with the Merchandise Services team, reviewing flyer/digital proofs and sending final proofs to printers.
  • Provide strategic input and thought leadership in support of marketing initiatives and growth opportunities. 
  • Assist the Marketing Services Manager in the execution of marketing campaigns and yearly strategies.
  • Support in the yearly budgeting and ensure adherence to fiscal responsibilities. 
The successful candidate should possess the following:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. 
  • Adapts easily to change.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Strong financial management skills including vehicle performance, budget and resource management
  • Sound judgment and ability to effectively problem solve as required.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure.
  • Highly organized and able to multitask effectively and work under changing priorities. 
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to senior managers, executives, and other employees of the organization.
Education & Knowledge:
  • 2-5 years management experience in marketing and/or marketing production.
  • Experience in a corporate retail environment.
  • Experience building processes, finding efficiencies, and negotiating with vendors an asset.
  • Knowledge of graphic design.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Suite, specifically InDesign.
